From Yougu Technology to the Scottish Premiership: Stirring Stories of Perseverance — A Visit to Yougu Technology by Fudan University School of Management Changzhou Alumni Association
On the morning of July 12, a distinctive visit event kicked off at Yougu Electrical Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Changzhou Yougu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yougu Technology). More than 30 alumni from the Changzhou Alumni Association of Fudan University School of Management gathered here to explore the secrets behind the enterprise’s growth and exchange stories about the Scottish Premiership and public‑welfare initiatives.
At the start of the event, Gu Yongjiu, Chairman and General Manager of Yougu Technology and an MBA alumnus of Fudan University School of Management, led the alumni through the company exhibition hall. Every corner revealed Yougu Technology’s development DNA: from the timeline wall chronicling the company’s growth, to the display area featuring product models for technological innovation, and further to the digital sand table illustrating future development.
The subsequent exchange session was held in a vibrant atmosphere. Gu Yongjiu systematically presented the company’s development philosophy of “First‑Class Culture, First‑Class Team, First‑Class Management, First‑Class Technology and First‑Class Equipment”, as well as its future strategic plans. When elaborating on “First‑Class Culture”, he emphasized: “A first‑class culture nurtures a first‑class team. Only with clear goals and shared convictions can we forge strong synergy to build an outstanding team.”
The conversation then turned to the Yougu Technology Public Welfare Fund, opening a heart‑warming chapter in Gu Yongjiu’s sharing. “Back in early 2024, we set up the Yougu Technology Public Welfare Fund in partnership with Changzhou Red Cross Society,” he said. He detailed the original intention and process of sponsoring the Scottish Premiership, stating frankly: “The fearless fighting spirit of players on the Scottish Premiership pitch resonates perfectly with our corporate pursuit of excellence.” Sports sponsorships ranging from the “Milk Walk for Charity” event and the Xinbei District Marathon to the Scottish Premiership are closely linked to the operation of the public welfare fund. The sweat shed on the sports field always carries the warmth of giving back to society.
During the event, the Changzhou Alumni Association of Fudan University School of Management specially invited Yu Yao, forward of the Scottish Premiership Changzhou Team. His sharing brought the atmosphere to a climax. Drawing on his personal experience, he recounted stories of striving on the pitch. The whole team kept up full momentum; players in every position gave their all. They interpreted the true essence of competitive sports through unrelenting grit and 11‑player teamwork. His sincere remarks drew repeated applause and strong resonance among the alumni present.
Toward the end of the activity, the Changzhou Alumni Association of Fudan University School of Management presented Gu Yongjiu with special gifts: a signed jersey bearing the fighting marks of all players from the Scottish Premiership Changzhou Team, together with carefully prepared souvenirs.
