From Hard Skills to Soft Skills: Sharpen Competencies for Confidence, Empower Communication for Cohesion
Changzhou Yougu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yougu Technology) has long adhered to the development philosophy of “First‑Class Culture, First‑Class Team, First‑Class Management, First‑Class Technology and First‑Class Equipment”. The company keeps advancing skill improvement and management efficiency. Especially in the offshore wind power sector, it has consolidated the foundation for high‑quality corporate development through a series of solid and effective initiatives.

Skill Improvement · Special Initiative
In July this year, under the guidance of Changzhou Federation of Trade Unions, the “Role‑Model Craftsmen Assisting Enterprises” campaign organized by Xinbei District Federation of Trade Unions came to Yougu Technology.
On July 3, Liu Jianjun, lead expert of the Master Skill Studio at Changzhou Baoling Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd., delivered a special training session on Welding Process Guidance and Skill Training. Adopting an innovative format combining on‑site welding practice in the workshop and systematic theoretical teaching, the training helped employees build solid theoretical knowledge and receive hands‑on guidance from model workers and senior technicians during practical operations. It effectively addressed technical bottlenecks in welding work and improved the overall technical competence of the company’s welding team.

Communication Empowerment · Tackling‑Challenge Initiative
On July 24, the “Mental Health Service for Employees” activity, jointly launched by Changzhou Federation of Trade Unions and Xinbei District Federation of Trade Unions, was held at Yougu Technology, bringing a practical lecture themed Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution to all staff. The lecture was given by Yan Lu, National Level‑3 Psychological Counselor and core lecturer from Yuezhu Psychology. It aimed to equip both management and employees with effective communication approaches and conflict‑resolution capabilities, so as to foster a positive and harmonious working atmosphere and significantly boost work efficiency.

The lecture kicked off with an engaging paper‑tearing game. Yan Lu emphasized that communication is vital for interpersonal interaction and teamwork, and also serves as a cornerstone for corporate development. Drawing on real‑world manufacturing‑sector cases, she analyzed common pitfalls in team‑level communication, and shared practical strategies including setting clear communication objectives, selecting appropriate communication channels, active listening and perspective‑taking. Participants gained valuable insights from these methods, laying a sound foundation for better internal communication and collaboration within the company.

Skill upgrading and effective communication are perpetual themes for corporate growth. For the wind power industry, refined professional capabilities represent indispensable “hard skills”, while empowered communication counts as critical “soft skills”. Going forward, Yougu Technology will keep investing in both dimensions. It will strengthen core competitiveness with the “hard skills” of technical proficiency, improve operational performance via the “soft skills” of enhanced communication, and forge steadily toward higher‑quality and more sustainable development.
