Yougu Technology Concludes the 2nd Overhead Crane Skills Competition Successfully
To build a high‑caliber workforce with superb professional skills and further consolidate employees’ technical foundations as well as safe‑operation lines of defense, Changzhou Yougu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yougu Technology”) successfully held its 2nd Overhead Crane Vocational Skills Competition on November 28. Wei Qiang, Director of Public Affairs and Chairman of the Yougu Technology Trade Union, delivered an opening speech to kick off the contest.

Hosted by the Yougu Technology EHS Management Committee and co‑organized by the Trade Union and the Administration Department, the competition consisted of preliminary and final rounds. Twenty employees advanced to the final after preliminary selection.
Prior to the contest, Zhou Chengmei, Senior EHS Supervisor, gave key explanations on safety instructions, competition rules and scoring criteria. She encouraged participants to treat the event as an opportunity for technical learning and exchange, compete with a relaxed and confident mindset, and demonstrate fine demeanor, solid performance and good sportsmanship.

The practical‑skill session included two events: “lifting and flipping workpieces” and “barrel‑weaving speed race”. Competitors’ overhead‑crane proficiency was comprehensively evaluated from four dimensions: operational safety and standardization, completion speed, movement stability and positioning accuracy. The twenty contestants took their turns on site. With dexterous techniques, they performed steady hoisting and precise positioning, completing all competition tasks to high standards and fully demonstrating the solid expertise and professionalism of Yougu Technology’s workforce.
After fierce multi‑round competition and impartial scoring by the judging panel, six contestants from the packaging, machining, welding, spraying and blanking workshops — Cheng Xiangxun, Zhang Ya, Niu Tengfei, Shi Shuihong, Qu Gang and Zhu Hongpeng — won the first, second and third‑class prizes respectively. The Yougu Technology Trade Union commended the six high‑achieving participants and presented awards, while consolation prizes were given to all other competitors.

Moving forward, Yougu Technology and its Trade Union will further advance the corporate culture of “We Succeed Together”. Keeping in sight the corporate vision of becoming “a world‑class provider of integrated solutions for key components of high‑end equipment”, the company will take skills contests as an important starting‑point to strengthen employees’ awareness of safe operation and continuously upgrade their vocational competence. It will consolidate talent reserves and industrial support for the high‑quality development of Yougu Technology.
