On August 6, a young journalist group from Changzhou Daily visited Yougu Technology for a fun‑filled summer study‑tour activity. The group first toured the Yougu Technology exhibition hall. Gathered around the display booths, the children’s eyes sparkled with curiosity and longing for the new‑energy world. Afterwards, they moved to the lecture hall, where vivid science‑popularization animation videos illustrated the complete conversion process from wind energy to electric power. During the lively interactive session, children raised one kid‑friendly question after another: “Will large wind turbines blow down when typhoons strike?” “Why do most wind turbines have three blades instead of four?” Drawing parallels with common phenomena in daily life, engineers explained sophisticated engineering principles in plain language, planting nuggets of green‑energy knowledge deep into children’s minds.
Towards the end of summer vacation, more than 20 students from Longhutang Experimental Primary School, forming the “Child‑Friendly Observer Group”, followed in their footsteps and joined another wind‑power science‑popularization class at Yougu Technology on August 18. Inside the exhibition hall, docents introduced the structure of wind‑power generation equipment as well as Yougu Technology’s technical achievements in precision manufacturing. Subsequent science‑popularization videos further broadened the students’ understanding of the wind‑power sector.
