The 1st Overhead Crane Skills Competition of Yougu Technology Concludes Successfully
To build a talent team with high‑quality competence, professional skills and expertise, and further improve employees’ overall vocational proficiency and safe‑operation capabilities, Changzhou Yougu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yougu Technology) held its 1st Overhead Crane Skills Competition on November 1. Zhu Yimin, Deputy Director of Photovoltaic Industrial Park Administrative Office, delivered the opening address.
Hosted by Yougu Technology Work Safety Committee, the competition was co‑organized by the Company’s Trade Union, Administration Department and EHS Department. The event consisted of preliminary and final rounds. Nineteen employees qualified for the final after the preliminary selection.
The practical competition included two modules: turning over lifted workpieces and speed contest with water‑bucket hoisting. Contestants were comprehensively assessed on safety compliance, operating speed, stability and accuracy of overhead‑crane manipulation. At the venue, the 19 contestants took turns to compete. They performed steady hoisting and precise positioning, completed all competition tasks with high standards and demonstrated their solid professional skills.
After fierce competition and impartial scoring by the judging panel, six contestants from the Spraying, Machining and Welding Workshops — Li Jiangang, Shui Shuihong, Chen Shiqiang, Niu Tengfei, Mu Haikun and Han Shanghua — won the first, second and third‑class prizes respectively. The Yougu Technology Trade Union commended the six high‑achieving employees and presented prizes and bonuses, while participation awards were given to all other contestants.
Going forward, aligned with the corporate culture “We Succeed Together” and guided by the corporate vision of becoming “a world‑class provider of integrated solutions for key components of high‑end equipment”, Yougu Technology and its Trade Union will take skill contests as an opportunity to strengthen awareness of safe operation and continuously improve employees’ professional competence, so as to consolidate talent and industrial foundations for the high‑quality development of Yougu Technology.
