The 3rd Trade Union Congress of Yougu Technology Convenes Smoothly
To further strengthen the organizational capacity and combat‑effectiveness of the company’s trade union, steadily advance democratic management, fully review trade‑union work over the past three years, and give play to the bridge‑bond role of the trade union, the First Plenary Session of the 3rd Congress of Trade Union Members of Changzhou Yougu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yougu Technology) was convened on the afternoon of January 13. Members of the 2nd Trade Union Committee and more than 30 trade‑union member delegates attended the conference. Gu Yongjiu, Party Branch Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of the company, was present.
At 2 p.m., amid the solemn national anthem, the First Plenary Session of the 3rd Congress of Trade Union Members of Yougu Technology officially commenced.
The conference read out the official approval issued by the Federation of Trade Unions of Longhutang Sub‑district, Xinbei District, Changzhou for convening this congress. On behalf of the 2nd Trade Union Committee, Wei Qiang delivered the work report. He reviewed the trade union’s work over the past three years and affirmed its vital role in enhancing employees’ sense of cohesion, belonging, achievement and wellbeing. Tu Wenyue, Trade Union Officer, presented the report on fund revenue and expenditure. Over the past three years, the trade union has strictly abided by financial regulations with clear accounts and standardized procedures, providing solid support for the smooth delivery of various trade‑union initiatives.
Upholding the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness and strictly following the procedures for leadership transition and election, the congress elected 11 members for the 3rd Trade Union Committee, 3 members for the Funds Review Committee, 3 members for the Women Employees’ Committee, and 4 members for the Labor Dispute Mediation Committee.
Subsequently, the 3rd Trade Union Committee held its first plenary meeting. The meeting elected one Chairman, one Vice‑Chairman, one Director of the Funds Review Committee, one Director of the Women Employees’ Committee and one Director of the Labor Dispute Mediation Committee. Wei Qiang was elected Chairman of the 3rd Trade Union Committee of Yougu Technology, and Zou Yan was elected Vice‑Chairwoman.
On behalf of the newly‑elected trade‑union committee, newly‑appointed Chairman Wei Qiang made a statement. He noted that the new committee will closely align with the corporate culture of “We Succeed Together”, adhere to the principle of “Serving Employees, Safeguarding Rights and Interests, Promoting Harmony and Boosting Development”, earnestly perform rights and obligations stipulated in the Trade Union Law of the People’s Republic of China, and fully exercise the four basic functions of the trade union. With greater enthusiasm, pragmatic work style and innovative thinking, the committee will safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of all employees and strive to open new horizons for trade‑union work.
In his concluding speech, Gu Yongjiu commended the hard work of the previous trade‑union committee and extended warm congratulations to the newly‑elected committee. He stressed that the trade union constitutes an important component of Yougu Technology’s corporate culture. He expected the new committee to continue acting as a bridge linking the company and staff, balance employees’ rights and corporate objectives, and create greater value for organizational development.
The congress drew to a successful close to the rousing strains of The Internationale.
Going forward, centering on the corporate vision of becoming “a world‑class provider of integrated solutions for key components of high‑end equipment”, and guided by the core philosophy of “Meeting the expectations of the Party and authorities, responding to corporate needs and fulfilling employees’ aspirations”, the company’s trade union will, under the leadership of the newly‑elected committee, actively perform its functions and give full play to its role as a bridge connecting and serving staff. Working in solidarity, delivering solid results and pursuing innovation, it will strive to elevate the company’s high‑quality development to new heights.
